A master of swing, bop, stride and more, Benny Green plays piano with power, sophistication, sensitivity, imagination, precision and passion. Green, a Grammy-nominee who’s drawn comparisons to Bud Powell and Oscar Peterson, will be performing solo concerts this Friday and Saturday (April 18-19) at The Jazz Forum in Tarrytown, New York.
Allmusic.com ranks the pianist as “one of the most virtuosic and technically adept players of his generation.” A leader on more than 25 recordings, his talent for elevating jazz classics prompted JazzWax.com to call his 2023 release Solo “an album of enormous taste and intellect.”
