Alfredo Balcacer (b March 11, 1984) is a guitarist and composer from the Dominican Republic. He graduated from Utah State University, and Western Michigan University. He has studied privately with Corey and Mike Christiansen, Fareed Haque and Tom Knific. He has performed across the United States of America, Brazil, Canada and his home country. Alfredo is also a recipient of scholarships by the Utah State Caine College of the Arts and Western Michigan University Department of Music. As part of these ensembles, Alfredo has performed and collaborated with artists such as Peter Erskine, Randy Brecker, Corey Christiansen, George Garzone.
