modal PROJEKT has evolved with releases over the last few years as a high quality recording project with deep integrity Remaining absolutely true to the original concept, it combines modular synthesiser sound beds and atmospherics with electronic production and modal jazz (of which ‘Kind of Blue’ by Miles Davis is the most famous example – improvisations around modes rather than chords ) A number of guest musicians from the world of Jazz have contributed their improvisations to the album Peter Marott (Mute Trumpet) and Jan Harbeck (Tenor Sax) (of Jan Harbeck Quartet) who are well established on the scene.
