Kamasi Washington to play an intimate night at Herne Hill, UK on July 9

Saxophonist Kamasi Washington, who will embark on his first ever UK tour this summer, has announced that he will be playing an intimate night at Herne Hill in South London, United Kingdom, as guest of indie music label Young Turks.

Kamasi’s performance will take place at the Off the Cuff bar on the evening after his appearance at the Sunfall Festival in South London’s Brockwell Park on July 9. Support on the night will come from British jazz drummer Moses Boyd, performing solo drums assisted by electronics.

The saxophonist is also featured among the artists in the line-up of this year’s Love Supreme Jazz Festival, which will take place in Glynde, United Kington, from the 1st to the 3rd of July. His performance will take place on the 3rd of July.
