Chick Corea to play 80 shows during a two-month residency to celebrate his 75th birthday


On June 12, Chick Corea will turn 75. To celebrate, he’ll move to New York City, where he will perform 80 shows during a two-month residency at the Blue Note jazz club.

The 22-time Grammy-winning keyboardist and composer will be performing from October 19 through December 12, leading 15 bands made up of 60 musicians ranging from Kenny Garret, Ravi Coltrane, Wallace Roney, John McLaughlin, Ben Solomon and many more performing a career retrospective focusing on his jazz fusion group Return to Forever, and a tribute to Miles Davis.
