Bobby McFerrin cancels 2016 tour

Vocalist Bobby McFerrin has canceled his 2016 tour. His management released a statement saying that this is due to ill health problems, with a medical condition preventing his extensive travel plans.

A statement from McFerrin’s representatives says, “He is working with specialists to evaluate, understand and address his symptoms, which include vocal weakness and chronic fatigue. We deeply regret the necessity of canceling upcoming engagements. We hope to reschedule as soon as Bobby’s health allows and return to the business and pleasure of making music.” They also added that there is every hope that he will reschedule his live dates for 2017.

McFerrin was scheduled for a number of European dates this summer, including a special Gershwin concert at November’s EFG London Jazz Festival.
